Adding a Planned Outage in SmartMAP

Modified on Fri, 13 Jan, 2023 at 9:56 AM

Adding Planned Outages to SmartMAP ahead of the outage event will allow SmartMAP to bypass outage detection and alerts for those known events.

To add a planned outage, find the outage device on the map.  This can be done by using pan/zoom, or the Search functions.

Once the interrupting device is selected, choose 'ADD OUTAGE' from the slide-out menu which will appear on the screen:

Add an outage name, details, interruption time and estimated restore time.  Impacted meters is auto-populated based on the number of devices downstream of the interrupting device.

The public outage map will display the outage once the date is within your custom setting of number of days before the event to show it on the map (default is 5 days) and it will show on the map until the outage is restored.
