HealthMAP Asset Update - Spreadsheet/Excel Method

Modified on Tue, 22 Feb, 2022 at 8:38 AM

An important step to ensuring accurate Transformer Loading and Voltage Alerting in HealthMAP is to update it it changes which have been made in the field.  While HealthMAP's bigger brother SmartMAP requires an accurate and complete GIS model to synchronize the data with, HealthMAP allows for a simple spreadsheet update.

Following the deployment of HealthMAP, you, or someone at your company was provided with a completed version of the attached GISUpdateConditionalWorkbook.xlsx file.  This file represents the most accurate representation of your system as possible at the time of deployment.  It may have been waiting for confirmation of some Transformer sizes, addition of missing transformers, completion of meter-->transformer mapping, or it could just require some updates to reflect system changes which have taken place since the deployment.  Any of these cases can be handled with the steps below.

The GIS workbook represents ALL of the assets which are available to view in HealthMAP, these include:

  • Distribution Transformers - Required for Transformer Loading
  • Meters - Requires corresponding transformer for Transformer Loading and correct nominal voltage for Voltage Reporting
  • Switches - Optional - used to display color-coded switches on the map which can help with outage interpretation
  • Primary Lines - Optional - used to display phase-coded lines on the map which can help with outage interpretation
  • Secondary Lines - Optional - use to display lines on the map which can visualize meter to transformer connectivity

To REMOVE an asset from HealthMAP, DELETE the corresponding line in the spreadsheet

To UPDATE an asset in HealthMAP, search the spreadsheet for the asset to be updated, and replace the old value with the new one

To ADD an asset in HealthMAP, add a new line at the bottom of the corresponding sheet, ensuring all mandatory fields are populated, and size/format requirements are followed

After making the changes, SAVE the GISConditionalWorkbook.xlsx file.  The file represents the most accurate representation of your system at the current time.  When you have future updates, you will update the same file.

UPLOAD the file to the Utilismart SFTP location which was provided when your system was deployed.  Utilismart Helpdesk can assist if these details need to be located.

The file will be automatically processed overnight and your changes will be applied.

If a file is not getting processed, it is usually because of some invalid mapping in the file, this can happen when applying many updates.  Don't worry, Utilismart Helpdesk is here to help.  Just let you know that you have uploaded a file but you are not seeing the changes, and we can review/correct the file and send you a new file along with a list of corrections.
