The SmartMAP desktop application allows users to define multiple options to tailor the experience and thresholds to what you prefer. It is accessed by selecting the Globe button in the upper left-hand corner.
1. Convergence
These options are only adjusted if you are having trouble with Load Flow Analysis failing, and can't find out why. Load Flow fails when the result is too far outside of anything possible (extremely high/low voltages or extremely high loading, usually 5X+ what could possibly exist). Here you can reduce tolerance and increase iterations to allow it to converge on some of the impossible situations, which will help it to point you to where the data issue exists.
2. General
a. Map Background Color
When you zoom in beyond level 19, SmartMAP defaults to a white background instead of the street base layer. Here you can change it to a different color
b. Snap Distance
This sets how close you need to click to a node in SmartMAP to have it selected. If you find it not selecting anything when you click, increase this value. If you find it selecting a different node near the one you wanted, reduce it.
Length of time to show tooltips for
When hovering over a node/line in SmartMAP, a tooltip pops up with info on it. Here you set how long it stays on the screen
Auto Save
This will create a backup file of your model. The background saving can cause some computers to slow down during saving of large models. Disabling it will prevent that.
Number of items on Recently Used Files menu
When you open a recent model, it will show this many of the last models you worked with in the list
3. Legend
Background Opacity:
If you layer multiple backgrounds, this can allow them to all be visible
Map Margin
Margin used when displaying tooltips & legends
Legend Location
Where to display the legend when using alternate map views
Title Text
Desired font & size
Item Text
Desired font & size
4. Results
Here you can set the desired Name, display and values for the various views/legends
5. Units
Here you can define alternate units for reporting and tooltips
