- Open system mode & save as a local model
- Create a conductor gap at any location where you will be changing from 4kv to 12kv
- Since the secondary system will not be changed, turn it’s visibility to off. A layer which is not visible will not be changed as we perform bulk edits
- Choose any node or line on the 4kV you want to convert, then use the ‘Network Trace’ button to select all of the associated lines/nodes
- Use ‘Change Layer’ to change to 12kV, ensure Orphan lines is zero (if it is not, then another conductor gap is required)
- Use Network trace to select the conversion lines/nodes again, then use ‘Change References’ to update conductor and Transformers to the new voltage in bulk.
- Choose the transformer/conductor on the left side, then the new one to use from the right. The # in brackets is the number of lines/transformers of each type.
- Go back to where you created the conductor gaps, and use the ‘Add Line’ tool to connect the converted system to the correct location on the 12kV which will feed it (ensure the 12.47kV Electrical layer is selected on the left)
